Event Date: Sunday August 24, 2008 - 7 a.m.

Location: Winfrey Point - White Rock Lake -Dallas, Texas

The Inaugural Hottest Half and 10k:
What's the deal? A half marathon and 10k in August in Texas? We know everybody does their most serious training in the summer months. This is an event to test your training level, do a great long tempo run or prepare for that fall marathon or half marathon! You earn bragging rights for having run The Hottest Half!

Field Limit:
We will cap entries at 2,000 for the first edition of The Hottest Half. This limit will be a combination total of those entering either the half or 10k. Our course will be an out and back course at White Rock Lake so that we can more easily have 10 water stations. We also want to make sure that we can staff to course properly to insure everyone has a safe enjoyable run. This will also make sure that our parking at Winfrey Point will not be strained

ChampionChip Timing:
The Hottest Half and 10k will use the computerized ChampionChip timing system, which records your time precisely from start to finish. Awards will be based on gun time. You must pick up your loaner chip at the event race morning. You may use your own ChampionChip, however make sure it is entered on your entry form and it is your responsibility to ensure that it matches your bib number. If you do not wear a chip, you will not be timed and will not be included in any results. All loaner chips must be surrendered at the finish line.
